Make it better

If we're not satisfied with what is, then we need to get busy and visualize what it can be.

Replacing or improving the undesirable is much more effective than just rejecting it.

There are those who complained, who took pride in being a victim. And then there are those who see the enormous opportunity that comes from making a situation better. Which approach makes the most sense to us?

If there's something we don't like, improve it. It's not that big of a step from seeing something as undesirable and visualizing how it can be better. Put some effort behind our vision. Don't just stand there complaining.

Make it better!

The Powerful Language

Dear friend,
As we sit in front of our computer screen, letting our eyes follow each word, we begin to discover how the use of powerful language patterns will allow us to succeed beyond our wildest expectations. And as we think about how that might happen, and listen to the ideas inside our own thoughts, we may find that we get excited at how much the right combination of word patterns can help us to reach our goals.
In fact, as we feel the excitement beginning to build, we'll want to learn more about how we can use powerful language in our life.
Among all the tools available to us, language is easily the most flexible and powerful. As we consider how difficult it would be to communicate without it, we naturally realize the importance of language. And just like any tool, language becomes more powerful as we learn the right way to use it.
Because language is so deeply ingrained in our thought process, the right combination of words can actually change our thinking. As we become aware of the power of language patterns such as "cause and effect", we expand our effectiveness beyond anything we had ever thought possible.
When we think about it, all beliefs are expressed in terms of cause and effect. Think for a moment about something we believe in. Write it down. Let's look at an example. Suppose our belief is something like this:
"I believe in free enterprise."
That's really only half of it. To get the other half, insert the word "because" and finish the statement.
"I believe in free enterprise because it allows people the ability to decide their own destiny."
Now, the amazing thing is that because we state something using a cause and effect pattern, people naturally and easily accept it -- even if it makes no logical sense. Why is this? The way our minds process language causes anything stated in a cause and effect pattern to be believed at a very deep level.
As we carefully study the wording of this article, you'll easily understand what I'm talking about. Look at the use of the words "because", "causes", "as", and "and". When we know what to look for, we'll see what I mean.
Does it really work? We can be the judge. How do we feel about the information we've just read? Do we believe it? Ask ourselves why.
I've provided almost no logical proof to you, I've simply presented the information using a powerful language pattern. Because of the way it is stated, you naturally believe what I am saying.
Try this for ourselves for a few days. As an experiment, try to use "cause and effect" in the statements we make to other people, and to ourselves as well. Experience for ourselves how this powerful use of language can expand our horizons.

We have the POWER

We have the power to surprise someone with a sincere act of kindness that's totally unexpected and completely delightful.

We have the power to give a helping hand and an encouraging word to those who need it the most.

We have the power to set our sights on a goal and do what is necessary to reach it.

We have the power to take an ordinary moment and give it extraordinary value.

We have the power to forgive. We have the power to appreciate.

We have the power to express ourselves and we have the power to listen.

We have the power to teach and we have the power to learn.

We have the power to look at a problem and to find within it a positive opportunity.

We have the power to see what's wrong with a situation and to take the steps that will make it right.

At the end of this day, our world will not be the same place that it was when the day began. For we always have the power to make a positive difference.
